Superior's quality system includes incoming inspection of all process components. Additionally, the in-process quality system manages high pressure high temperature press set up and controls, an immediate feedback loop on pressed parts back to the operator, and laser based measurement devices in the PDC automated grinding operation.

Our quality inspection process is industry leading including the following components.
C-Scan –To capture any defects internal to the PDC cutter. Utilized on 100% of products.
Auto-dimensional Control – Camera based system ensures 100% dimensional compliance.
Visual Inspection – Superior uses an innovative visual inspection system to replace the tedious and time-consuming manual inspection step, sorting out surface defects on the PDC cutters.
X-Ray Inspection – Utilized on leached cutters, Superior's new system eliminates the laborious manual measurement of leach profiles, dramatically reducing the time, increasing the accuracy, and allowing for 100% inspection of leached cutters.
